Well there are plenty of other levelling bases that take a normal tripod thread which you could then stick on the Markins base.

Does anyone have the Arca Swiss cube or the Photoclam Multiflex? I'm considering the Multiflex as a future purchase and it will likely replace the PC-44NS I have on my Manfrotto sticks right now.

The Arca Swiss cube is sick! Are you going to use it with a TS lens? That would be interesting to see with all the options you have with that ball head.

Hmmm. This looks familiar, right down to the magnetic closure. Looking good.

cool, but why do you want your remote hidden where you can't see the time left and or use the buttons? Yeah yeah, I know we don't want them dangling, but I just hook mine to the hook under the center column at the very end of it's cable so it doesn't move but I can see/use it.

It's so it doesn't dangle and generally become a nuisance when moving. It you need to use it, pop it out and use it. When you don't, stow it out of the way.

Another approach might be to place some Velcro on a key spot on the tripod and a patch on the back of the remote. I'll have to give that a try. I always end up hanging my remote over the camera body and still letting it dangle a bit.

That's exactly what I did before I made this little pouch. It worked but I try to avoid Velcro when I can (it's noisy).

you can't really tell in the photos but this pouch is padded with 1/8" closed-cell foam/rubber.

Yeah the intention would be to use it with the 17mm TS-E I will hopefully be getting soon. As well as the Zeiss 21mm.

I will definitely consider it then. Either option is expensive (considering they are both over $1k) so it will take some time to consider it and save up.

Cool! I think it would do well with those two lenses you mentioned bcoz' I love mine!
