All of a sudden one day when I grabbed my camera and turned it on I noticed after taking a picture and review came up, it was upside down. Now if I turn out the back screen and take the picture with it out instead of folded in, the picture is correct.

Any idea's on what this is? And idea to fix it also, should be cheaper to fix then update camera.

This is probably obscure or highly unlikely, but have you installed or attempted to install Magic Lantern?

Magic Lantern is a software add-on to the operating system in the camera. Some people attempt to install it, but don't do it correctly. ML has a feature to turn the display upside down.

Mostly using Canon bodies with lots of different lenses and flash.

It's possible that the flip screen position sensor has gone bad, or bad only in the closed position.

What's it do when flipped forward (like selfie orientation), in live view and in image review?

No, I did not install magic lantern. Actually I did nothing, just picked up the camera again one day and seen it.

When its flipped forward into position is when it's upside down, if I turn it out too the side its correct.

1st, double check the menu setting for image rotation.

Check the thread at http://community.usa.canon.com …-Display-Issue/td-p/50509 (external link). Drill down a bit to some camera body photographs (time on reply is 08-12-2016 12:22 AM) as someone found a fix relative to the sensor.

Otherwise I'd reflash the firmware and then retest.
