Welp!!!

I guess i was expecting a whole thread with mass shots of this trip to Africa.

I'm think all the cards were damaged at the airport and there is nothing to see.

Shame.

lol, I posted some bird shots in the bird forum, some leopard shots in the wildlife forum, etc. I suppose I could add them all here.

Maybe over the break I'll have time to upload some more.

I humbly admit to being terrible about such things. Ever since I got a family! Damn thing keeps getting in the way of my nerd time!

Since it's been a year, and I am only now getting around to posting images, (thanks in no small part to i-G12 for both inspiration, and a general ass kicking every now and then)

.. I was thinking that I would post links to new threads from the trip here.

Jake, I checked out the link, "Antelopes and Hippos." Man, what beautiful photography. You shot some great images on your African trip. I'm sure there will be many more to come. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

This is a real treat, Jake.

I would love it if you could find the time to post a bit more right here. I've followed this thread since you started it but it's been a long wait. I was delighted to see it come back to life with photographs.

And don't forget, we're your family too! :p

Our first actual campsite outside of our wonderful base camp was in Xakanaxa on the banks of the Okavango delta itself. It was our fist night getting acquainted with our home away from home, the "backie" tents.

That first night our camp was visited by a small handful of free roaming Hippo,. Liz slept through it! I don't have any photos of that, it was near pitch black, but the following morning we set out on a nice boat trip into the Okavango itself!
