Stationary stores like Staples sell packages of 8 1/2 x 11sheets of magnet backed inkjet paper. They are a little thick and heavier than regular ink jet paper buy they fit into every ink jet printer. They are flexible and can be cut and trimmed in any standard paper trimmer. Avery is one large manufacturer of them and Staple sells its own brand of them.
Cheers, Murray

It all depends on what your end product is. If you're just making refrigerator magnets or other decor items, the thin magnetic paper should suffice. If you want to make vehicle magnets or other heavier duty items, then thicker magnetic substrate (usually ceramic 30 mil or more) is required. They do make the magnetic paper that is printable, but some printers require the sheet be unmagnetized before printing, then magnetized after.

For the heavier duty magnets that I make, I make a print on outdoor durable media, then laminate it and mount it to 30 or 60 mil magnetic sheeting. It comes on a 36"x40' roll and is HEAVY!
