I've picked up some regular work doing real estate, looking to be a quarterly contract on retainer. I'm pretty skilled with Speedlights, and my current kit works but is getting beat-up from heavy use, and this is a good reason to update. Current kit:
(1) Canon 430EXII
(2) Yongnuo YN560II (manual, no ETTL or HSS) that work but are showing wear from heavy use (ok, one of them is kinda falling apart)
(4) Cactus V5 (interchangeable trigger/receiver) - no ETTL or HSS, no power control, just plain ol' trigger and receiver. These are bulky and delicate, they're on their last legs - each one I have is damaged in some way. For fast and lazy setup, I usually use one trigger, one receiver, and optical slave mode if I need more than one flash.

Requirements: Reliable, easy to set up, flash power controlled by transmitter, lightweight, sturdy.
Nice-to-have: HSS, maybe ETTL, high GN. Can trigger my Elinchrom studio strobes.
Wishful thinking: Trigger can remotely adjust power on my Elinchrom strobes

The Godox products have been looking better and better lately, so I'm leaning toward that.

Question 1: Are these all different brand names for the same things? Godox, Neewer, Flashpoint (Adorama?), Bolt (B&H?) Cheetah.

Last time I researched this, I wasn't ready to buy, but I had come to approximately this decision:
One Godox V860
Two Godox V850's
FT-16 trigger and 3 receivers

Lots of new gear has come out since then. What am I missing? How about this:
One V860ii - for the rare occasion that I need ETTL
Two V850ii's
XT32-c transmitter (built-in receivers are VERY NICE for fast and easy setup, this is a huge selling point to me)

Question 2: What's the difference between X1C-T and XT32-c transmitters?

Question 3: Are there Neewer/Flashpoint/etc options that I should be considering?

I remember seeing a diagram with colored arrows showing which gear was compatible and what triggers work with what receivers/flashes, but it seems like new gear has continually come out since I last saw it.

Looks like the Adorama equivalent is:

One Flashpoint Zoom E-TTL R2
Two Flashpoint Zoom Manual R2's
One Flashpoint R2-C E-TTL transmitter

This would probably be at least a hundred bucks cheaper than the Godox brand equivalent from Amazon...?

Here is the breakdown and everything you would want to know about both Godox Wireless systems (new 2.4G X system and the older 433MHz system) and all the components compatible with these systems. There is also an Adorama Flashpoint equivalent chart in the post.

Thanks, that's a great reference.

There are a few updates that need to be made but it is amazing how comprehensive and well put together this reference is. It also has direct links to more detailed information for each of the products. Elv always does a great job but he outdid himself with putting this together. :-)

Simple,

get all the V860IIs you need and the XT32-C for most work and an X1C-T as a backup/TTL trigger

XT32 is a manual transmitter and X1 is TTL

All brands are Godox under the skin and all use the same firmware updates so it is down to support/warrant/extras

Shooting with a 5d3 primarily.

We went with the Adorama equivalents that I posted in post #2. Been working with them for a couple of days and so far I'm very happy with them.

After a little practice, I like the interface to use the ETTL flash on-camera as a smart trigger for the other two. It's pretty common to have one flash on-camera and bounced, and the other two off-camera.

Thanks. The V860II is $200 and the Flashpoint Manual R2 is $100, and I use ETTL SO infrequently that it wasn't worth double the price.
