I did this with the use of bracketing and taking 4 separate frames which overlapped each other by 1/3 or more.

Canon 7d Mkii
Tokina 11-20 (set at 11)
ISO set at 100
Shutter varied for exposure value

The bracketing was 7 shots for each frame, so 6 total stops.

I merged each exposure value first
Cropped to the same size
Used HDR photo merge in Photo Shop

The brightest exposure had issues with alignment and was not used.

While it may be “over done” I am merely trying to learn how to bring certain objects in to different values. I learned a lot with this image.

I created several different masks (if that is the right term) to adjust values of specific objects.
The rocks on the left were one mask
Rock on the right was another
The sand was a mask
The water was a mask
The sky was it’s own
Etc.

Looking for some feedback.

IMO you have chosen one of the poorest Merge to HDR creators. If you have LR, try the very easy Merge to HDR.

But better still us a tonemapping (external link) such as Aurora, easyHDR, SNS-HDR (my favourite) or ther free niuk Efexz HDR Pro.

Having said all that, you have generated a very creditable image and it is not "over done"!

Thanks Stiga for the feedback. I will have to look into the other tools at some point.

Check out ICE. You dont need to crop first, the computer will figure it out. You can crop last. ICE is free.

Yes, MS ICE is an excellent free app. It is my preferred option for panos.
