Batteries are D-E-A-D dead, won't recharge dead.
So I would not recommend ANYONE buy this grip.

I always feel like I'm being taken advantage of when I buy OEM accessories but I have been burned a few times with third party choices. I rely on user reviews like yours before making a choice and since a 5d iv is probably in my future, I'll avoid this grip. Sorry to hear about the batteries--any idea why that happened? Elton Balch

Apr 10, 2017 15:12 | #18 I can only guess. but it must have kept an open circuit and drained the batteries past what lithium can sustain. No idea how it would defeat the built in protection of such a thing, but two batteries, different brands. One 3rd party (Wasabi) and one Canon OEM. Costly lesson. GEAR LIST
