I got this in the mail today and decided to take a look at it. There is so much I don't know about
Photoshop that this might have been around for a while, but I wasn't aware of it.

Yes, it is a very useful tool; but in ACR or the CR filter you can get much the same effect with the Radial Filter and negative Clarity below -50 together with negative sharpening. And with the ability to brush away part of the mask and/or do multiple filter applications, I think you have more control and flexibility.
