I was playing with my new lens this past weekend and my daughter wanted to show her love for trees... :-D

For snapshots they are lovely. If we're talking photography, the cut off hand is something I tell subjects to avoid, sometimes by reaching upward. Although if hugging is the goal, then something else. I like the soft color of the shirt with the light bark of that particular tree.

Thank you and thanks for that tip. I never really thought about it before but now that you pointed it out, I can't help but notice it.
That particular shot was not posed, she was just playing around and hugged the tree and I snapped it, and really liked it.
But now I can see where it would look much better had she reached her hand up along the side.
