Having issues. Bit of a noob when it comes to off camera flash so bear with me. Have a new 680EX II RT fitted to the X1-C receiver and set to Master via Transmission from the XC-1T on my EOS5DSr. All good. Group B Channel 1, I have all set in the Camera Menu as needed and set zoom on the Flash in ETTL and all is good. However, I scroll through to Menu 4 where I should be able to access the HSS setting but when I select that it immediately disables. I can't for some reason set the HSS? Also that menu system is weird, or it may be me, but I only have one stab at the control and then have to scroll through the menu's to get to #4 again? Bit of a PITA on that one...

Any thoughts? Overlooking the obvious or?

Cheers,
Mark.

If you have a flash attached to an X1-C receiver, it should be set to Non-Wireless ETTL not "Master".

Why use the cameras Menu? Just make all adjustments directly in the X1 transmitter that's why it has a display.

The X system will automatically put your flash in HSS when you exceed the max sync speed of your camera. You do not set it in the flash or the cameras menu system.

Thanks you for taking the time to explain. I will give these points a workout and see what gives.
