I just bought a second-hand Balcar-mount beauty dish that came without a grid. From looking at pictures on the internet, I'm fairly confident it's a 1st-generation Alien Bees dish. it has round shoulders (as opposed to angular sides as in the current 22HOBD) and the flat central deflector is supported by 3 posts (not a single post as in the current 22HOBD). Does anyone know where I can purchase a grid to fit this older beauty dish (or know if the current grids for the 22HOBD beauty dish will fit the old one too)?

Thanks!

The Buff website says the grids for the current dishes fit the old dishes.

But I'd also give the Amazon (prime) 22-inch grids a try--they might just fit as well. I discovered that the common Amazon 7-inch grids fit the Buff 7-inch reflectors. If they don't fit, you can return them to Amazon.
