package from b&h. they really upped their game in packaging these small items :P

It never fails the over packaging. When we had our baby registry the baby room was filled with Amazon boxes. Once we opened everything up the items took less than 1/5th of the space as they did with the boxes. It was harrowing to see how much is wasted lol

Hmm does that mean skin tones have improved? This is the only thing that makes me want to get a canon mirrorless camera. They have the superior skin tones out of camera for me. I could never get my Sony images to replicate canon skin profiles.

55 f/1.8 is so stellar but now that I have the 50 f/1.2 it’s too close for me to keep. So it’s being sold off.

We get out to the park almost daily but restaurants or other leisurely stuff is rare. Not trying to risk much exposure especially with a baby now at home.

Beautiful shot there. Where is that?

hmmm..... yes I can say the skin tone has improved. I took some portraits and I didnt need to change the wb. I can share some sooc pics if you like to see. I've seen a few reviews where the person prefers the sony over the canon, saying the canon is more on the warm magenta side and canon is more natural. but I think when it comes to portraits, canon has a unique rendering to the image that makes the flesh looks good. to my eyes of course.

nooo dont sell the 55 1.8 :P not yet! jk i hear you, no point having two similar lens. well the gm is a better lens but the size of the 55 is so good :)

cool. nice to get out for some air. i'm sure restaurants in NY are quite busy and close encounters. I've dine in here and there and the seats are more spacious so its not too bad.

thanks. it's near a ski resort called mammoth mountain here in california. mammoth lakes. i forgot which lake it was called. there's alot in the area.

Yup I’m going to see with the upcoming A7IV announcement what comes of it. If the A9II wasn’t approaching two years in a month I would have purchased it already but I’m wondering if we will see a replacement in the first half of next year.

As much as it pains me to sell off the 55 f/1.8 it just would sit and collect dust. Lol as I don’t mind the size of the 50 1.2 to always carry it around.

When NYC had tighter restrictions a few months back we went out and fined a few times. But now things are opened up. Which means we go back to not dining out lol

Ooo I’ve heard of mammoth mountain. Very nice place. Are you affected by the fires? I remember when I went to San Francisco in 2019 my buddies an I went to a warriors game in Oakland. We could see and smell the smoke fires sitting inside the arena. When we left the game, walking across the shared parking lot with the Oakland athletics stadium, it was a hazy grey. It was a surreal experience.

Japan and Italy are tied for my favorite countries. Tokyo is my favorite city beyond where I live: New York City :)

I’m sure there will be new cameras, just hope not something unneeded like what they’ve been releasing. Sony needs to compete now so they need to up their game lol

Another reason, it’s a pita to travel so no need the lighter set up :P

Ahaha it's in reverse, decide not to go out because too many people are out? I so miss the less traffic when everyone was indoors. Where I live, we are not affected much by the fires, I’m about 15minutes away from the beach. If I live like 30minutes inland or closer to areas with mountains then it may be affected. We get smokey air, red skies, ashes in the air but its not close enough for us to have to evacuate or be in danger. Mostly concrete where I’m at and the places with most greens would be city parks.

Nice! Trip before covid hehe. That’s a lot of dedication there for sports! I’m not into sports so I wouldn’t have the feeling of making a long trip to see a game hehe. Did you take pictures of the sky? As bad as it is, it makes an interesting picture, the different colored sky.

Thousands of photos from all over Asia.

Yup Sony has a gap at the 2,500 price point to compete with Canon so let’s see what they do with the A74 to hit back.

Was told busy covering my face to use my shirt as a filter to think about taking an image during that time lol
