Nick can you share the numbers for single or double shot

beans weight, extraction time and resulting espresso weight.

Thanks I will also weigh to check my setting.s

I dont put much on hopper, beans stay most in siartight containers.

I don’t really ever pull singles so I’m no help there. Doubles will vary depending on bean density and basket size.

For an 18g basket I use 18-18.6g of coffee (for really light roast coffee the dose will need to be higher since it’s more dense). I typically aim for around 26-30s for 38g out. For some really light roast coffee the extraction times will be a lot longer and many times as I’m dialing it in I’ll try anywhere from 30g to 50g out but I typically like around a 2:1

look at that hair on the lad!!

you should tell him he needs it shaved off to be streamlined for biking...

as for the drone - what are you going to take images from? isn't there a restriction zone around NYC?

That hair has been like that since day one. Boy came out with a mane lol

There are 5 parks in nyc that are approved for flying but we travel north of NYC constantly (I get out of city limits in under 20 minutes). But I picked it up for our travels both domestically and internationally. We head to Italy and the Dolomites in September so plan on flying out there.

Tony, it only matters if you want the same results and taste. Since I leave the beans in the hopper, I just weigh the dose that comes out. When I have less beans in the hopper I may get less because it's bouncing around and not being pushed down to grind.

Otherwise, gotta weigh the whole beans before and again once grinded to make sure you get the full 18g :p

I actually can adjust time, both beans amount and extraction so I use the scale to set and tune the weight and use the time set, for right weight, for each bag of beans delivered, yes about the same too, exactly what you get for th your tube brit guy.
Thanks

Cheers,
Tony
