Can’t believe Amazon is deleting DPReview. That’s almost like wiki being deleted for photography.

never knew they were affiliated with DPReview. was wondering what will happen with Chris and Jordan, but they already will be moving onto another brand. wonder why they dont just create a youtube channel themselves.

Well it seems that after fully indexing and optimizing (JKDefrag) these drives they don't really make much noise anymore, so I think I can live with it. Just bit the bullet and bought another 4 TB SSD last week for the D4 beta since I need to leave the remaining space on my first game SSD for expansions/updates. So, now have a fresh drive for D4 and Starfield.

oh cool. wouldnt think defrag matters these days. used to do it very often back in the days.

i almost got the 4t ssd as well. still tempted.. seeing alot at a good price. hope itll keep dropping hehe

I only played the first game a little bit back around 2002 and was more into 3D games back then. I liked it fine enough but not enough to become obsessed or anything. I decided to give D2 a try after D2R because I'm basically a graphics whore :) The gameplay is definitely addicting. Also nice that you can use a controller. The older I get, the nicer that is because I'm tired of sitting at the desk. Anyway, it does get a bit repetitive but it's good to pick up to give you something to do.

D3 is definitely a different game. The graphics aren't bad, but the textures are pretty low quality making it barely passable on a newer TV. Do like the gameplay. Again a bit repetitive. But fun to pick up and kill stuff.

D4 definitely looks a lot better than D3. It's pretty close to D2R and D2R is gorgeous IMO. The UI is kind of a mess, though. But, the gameplay is good and there seems to be lots to do. I got sorc to 25 and rogue to 21. Had lots of fun. Looking forward to release to see the rest of the game. I think the main campaign will be much longer than previous titles. Will have to see what they do with seasons for replay-ability. Right now, the itemization doesn't look much different than D3. But we'll see. I do like the transmog system.

Oh, and I ordered a mouse jiggler. Not sure if it will work or how they're afk detection works but the online aspect is a bit annoying as the game kicks you after a certain time. Not a fan of that for sure.

I still like D3 graphic, it's probably my favorite one. D2 fans boast about d2 graphic but i dunno.. i see it as junk. when D1 first came out, it looked good! now it's not so good hehe. D2 I didnt think of it much of an improvement. same with D4, not a huge improvement when compared to D4. prob just D3 with higher resolution.

D2R does look nice for what it is. i agree.

I think the UI is a mess because they are trying to make it compatible with consoles. I had issues playing co-op where we had to repeat a quest we had already finished earlier on.

which char do you like more? my barb is 25 and rogue is at 16. looking forward to play some more rogue this weekend :) my main thing for this weekend will be getting familiar with the item extract. wont have to worry if i mess up since it'll be deleted. i am sad and feel attached to the chars and dont want to lose them ehehe.

transmog is different thatn d3. i screwed up there and didnt read carefully. thought we just pick up the drop and it auto saves the looks. I do like the wardrobe idea, but i'm kind of bum that we cant just pick up item and it saves. We used to drop the item amongst ourselves for the transmog.

Well, Windows defrag doesn't really do much. JKDefrag actually moves the data to the front of the disk and optimizes it.

The Sandisk SSD dropped to $230 so I said screw it it's only $30. We've got Elden Ring DLC coming soon, too. That 300 GB left on my first drive isn't gonna last very long. I'll still probably have to remove at least one space hog.

Yeah, games from 20yrs ago don't look like we remember hehe. I like sorc most so far. Going to try out necro and druid this weekend of course. I've played necro in a lot of other games and it's a pretty fun take on pets.

Forgot about transmog needing to consume the item. Yeah, that's kind of a bummer really. What I do like about the new system is that it does the slots so you don't have to keep redoing the transmog when you switch gear.

I'm trying to find something to keep me occupied until June lol. I'm really looking forward to this release.

yes it saves alot of time and not having to change it each time. another thing i like is the items just take one slot each and not 2+ slots for certain items. also wont have to worry about buying dye bottles to change colors like in D3, that part sucked hehe. I forgot about the random item purchase with the coins, so I'll be playing around with that this weekend. had alot left behind because it was maxed out and couldnt take anymore.

almost there. enjoy your weekend hehe

want to join my clan? its going to be private and nothing too special. always free to leave or rejoin. called it Radler with RAD as the short form. I manly play with my mahal :)

Im sure when torment is available and with better gear itll be better to have a bigger party

Will look the clan up when I get in this afternoon depending on the queues. Looking forward to trying out necro! Clan system should be interesting in this game setting. If we don't run into each other, have fun!

Welp, the mouse jiggler doesn't work. They must be using character movement for AFK detection. Bummer. However, it does seem that they are not using AFK timers in towns. At least not now.

Necro is pretty OP compared to sorc so far. However, I just hit level 15 and the zombies last night before bed. They're still meat sponges.

Edit:. Okay I was wrong about AFK timer. It just seems to be not working in the main city. Working in other little towns.

thanks for the report. seems they have the queues taken care of. for now hehe

I did not try necro, but i did try druid and thought it was fun. sticking to barb and rogue. rogue is pretty op. fast and lots of dps. i kill better with the rogue than with the barb. now gotta wait 2 months till release ><

was heart broken knowing the chars will be gone hehe i really liked what i had going on.

Haha yeah carrying over to live would be cool. I had two good affixes on my necro for extra skeletons. I had 12 altogether hehe. After getting a few legos I was steam rolling everything.

I only remember one game that I ever played beta in that allowed carry over of characters to live. It was so long ago, that I can't even remember which game it was. I wanna say SWTOR but Google isn't giving me any answers. I played closed beta all summer on that one.

I started a druid on Friday because I kept getting d/c'd on necro. Only got to about level 5 before switching back. I liked my rogue too. The combo of ranged plus a backstab skill made the gameplay pretty exciting. Although, I didn't get any good drops on that one so everything was a bullet sponge by the time I got to level 25.

Necro is pretty awesome, but they are not my kinda char to play. pretty creepy lol. just like the previous voodoo class in D3.. forgot what they were called.. witch doctor. just looked it up h. my D3 main was barb and I 2nd crusader. crusader was nice and lazy play with the captain america build hehe. the bouncing shields. I think I prefer the D3 items, the legends on D4 is cool but its so random and any item can have the same attributes. while in D3 the certain item you wanted had the one skill you would want from the item.

It'll be interesting to see how much harder it is to get specific aspects with this item system in D4. Especially since the drop rate was increased for beta only. Right now I'm doing a game+ playthrough of HZD to keep me busy hehe.
