In recent days POTN has gotten a half dozen posts into Flash and Studio Lighting, all posted all at once and on consecutive days, and with Subject in the Korean 'alphabet' and unreadable to anyone except those educated in their language.
Kim Jong Un's half bother has been apparently assassinated in recent times. So speculating that the spamming and the assassination could be linked

It has been keeping our Moderators quite busy!

Doubt it , since it's said it was he , whom had him killed...

who had him killed.

I've seen a lot more than half a dozen; hundreds! Samsung trolls?

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

...half dozen all posted at the same time, in the Lighting forum, but on more than one occasion

Who? no idea, but there is no love lost between the half brothers, and the one who was killed actually has criticized the other on more than one occasion. So the death of a half brother may not be a rational motivation for spamming POTN, but OTOH irrational behavior is not unknown. -?

Yeah, it was annoying. Someone opened a thread yesterday or the day before about it, which was closed after the moderator said these spam threads should be reported instead of opening a thread about them.

Well, the reason I didn't report them was because in order to report a thread you have to open it on your browser, and I didn't want to do that out of fear of a malicious plugin or some other bug.

I locked myself out of that one. ;)

And they're at it again, 'cept this time they appear to be Chinese.

This post by Pekka tells why to report them when you see them: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=18275789

It isn't just Flash and Studio Lighting. I reported about four in Weddings within the past minute or two.

Oh, the wonders of Pekka's site...it seems relatively efficient at dealing with spammers. Yesterday it seemed like those posts continued to be listed for hours on end. Now I know to report these as spam so that the necessary 3 reports happen quickly so the spam disappears!
