This Snail Kite was having some luck. Out of its normal territory, seen just north of Cape Coral, Florida.

Thanks Pippan- definitely a large snail. Apple snails are the size of - wait for it - apples. And they comprise 100% of this bird's diet.

Many thanks Bob, i was surprised to see them up here. They're fun to watch as they pick every bit of meat out of that big shell.
