Between May 24 and early June 4, 2015 inclusive we visited Etosha National Park in northern Namibia. Etosha is about 25000 square kilometers in size and May and June are fall (the dry season) there. You can drive around visiting the various waterholes on your own but you must remain in your rental vehicle for safety reasons. Creating images for a vehicle window can be challenging but it was worth the trip.
We saw many spectacular animals and birds during the trip but only saw one leopard, this magnificent male, for 15 minutes. It had come to the Kalkhuewel waterhole early one morning to quench its thirst. Uncropped image.
