This reminds me of the day I went to the zoo and decided to use only my 300 f/4 lens, on a 1.6 crop body. I got several shots that were like this when the animals were too close to take a picture of the whole thing. I have elephant shots that are nothing but wrinkly skin and a few hairs :-)

This was taken in Tanzania with a marsh pride of lions. This was the pride male. I noticed the great teeth, with saliva all over them.

Nice shot ! How close were you ? and where was it ? ( I was in Tanzania end 2015 and if with a good guide it's possible to approach quite close these cats but as close ... heu, no, not me :oops: )
