They were also on sigma's website under news for a bit...so they're coming

Ok, that helps. Any word on pricing? None of these trips my trigger, but competition is always helpful.

I'm REALLY interested in that 14mm f/1.8.

I hope the new kids on the block are weather sealed or at least have the ass end gasket my 150-600mm C has.

They be pretty different lenses given the SIGMA is f/5-f/6.3 at the long end. Much lighter weight.

IMO it's a totally new market segment, though mostly intended to compete in the 70-300 range. We've never had a budget telephoto that went all the way to 400, at least not with modern optics. There's the old Tokina 80-400, but that thing was kind of a dog above 200 and Sigma's own 120-400 retailed for like $800. I could easily see this as a $500 MSRP, $350 street price lightweight telephoto with top notch optics.

Honestly, as a mid-weight travel lens, it's possible that it could replace my 70-300L letting me push some of those savings into a different piece of gear. Definitely the most curious about that one, even though I admit it's by far the least interesting lens

Given their new lens prices, I'd expect that it's going to still fall in that 800-1100 range; the new lens lines from them are being made as premium lenses, with better build quality, optics, etc. They're trying to get above the "bargain" lens level, and as such, are charging higher prices than in the past. That said, the new A/C/S lenses are quite nice, so far; just don't expect budget pricing on them.
