I plan on getting a Canon 5D MKIV. I see it requires Lightroom version 6.7 to read the raw files. Does Adobe still allow free download upgrades on their products? For example if I buy Lightroom 6 and the version I receive is 6.5 can I go online and get 6.7 for free? Thanks for any help.

No you cannot upgrade the camera raw portion of LR separately from the software as a whole, you can use a DNG converter as a workaround or upgrade to Adobe CC, I think the photography package is 9.99 a month.

Yes 6.x updates are free. You only have to pay if you upgrade to the next version number (7, if they release it as a stand alone non-cc product).

I bought LR6.0 stand-alone and have downloaded all the free updates so I'm at 6.8 now.

The Camera Raw version is 9.8. According to Adobe, 5D4 raw support was added with Camera Raw 9.7.
