there are times when the idiosynchracies of this site suck! I cannot edit out one of the pictures in this frst post, and I cannot deletel the first post. brilliant programming.
Sooooooo. I'll rewite the thing and try to explain.
(I'm trying hard to get the 'Worst Title' award this year! ;)
At any rate it was dark, aand it was yucky. So what do you do on such a day? You grab your camera, drive an hour out to the nearest wildlife refuge and waste pixels. Right?

the 1st bird is a purple Gallinule I shot a couple years back, mis clicked and loaded it. the 2d bird is the correct one from today a Common Moorhen. Clear as mud now, right? ;)

Sooooooo. I'll rewite the thing and try to explain.

First, you might have asked one of us to help. In the time that it took, you could have reviewed the rules.

So second, take note of the text in red:
In the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES specifically state under "Allowed # of images:"
We allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of 2 attachments + 6 embedded (linked) images, totaling 8 per thread.
(Maximum 1280 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are group threads, like "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.
You may add a few additional photos if requested, but only in a reply to other member's post and request.

FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
Classic Carz, Racing, Air Show, Flowers.
Find the light... A few Car Lighting Tips, and MOVE YOUR FEET!
Have you thought about making your own book? // Need an exposure crutch?
New Image Size Limits: Image must not exceed 1600 pixels on any side.

pretty much aware of the rules. And I haven't the vaguest idea where you are coming from. I think I was clear in stating that I had posted two pictures (well within the rules) but that one of them was the wrong one and that I could not delete it. Please follow your own advice and READ the OP first. You read the criticism and jumped to an incorrect conclusion.. NOW, if you would also follow the rules we can take this to private where it belonged in the first place...unless you like making yourself look foolish in public.

Didereaux, something seems to have escaped your attention–namely, that you attached six images in this thread. Not two. Six.

Evidently not, as OhLook pointed out.

NOW, if you would also follow the rules...

OK. I was going to let you slide in this thread, but your response to my post indicates that I need to make things crystal clear to you, so I've followed the rules at your request & deleted the two posts with the illegal extra 4 attachments.

I cannot edit out one of the pictures in this frst post, and I cannot deletel the first post.

But you CAN edit out one of the pictures in the first post. What makes you think that you can't? It's really simple, quick, and easy to do.

Pekka has this site set up so that doing those kinds of things is really easy and intuitive.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Tom, I thought of telling the OP where to click to delete an image. On reading the text in all three of his posts that had text, I decided not to take the trouble. My decision is explained by the popular saying "What goes around comes around."
