Oh that is good!
One of my favorites is the use of - I could care less vs couldn't.
Of course living in the foreign country of Louisiana with its weird usage of truncated words has permanently damaged my brain I fear.

I grew up in Montana... I spelled "wash" correctly but pronounced it "warsh", until a gf's mother asked me to spell it out enough times that I broke the habit. They were from Chicago.... that news broadcaster zero accent place. ;)

Unless it's Billy Joel (from Lowng Oyland) singing about "Brendar an' Eddie".

Canon EOS R7, M5, 100 (film), and Sony α6400
I have an orange cat and a brown cat. In HSL, they're both orange.

I'm not so sure about that.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

True for ABBA.

Just a few exceptions:
Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick
Squeeze - Cool for Cats
The Proclaimers - I'm On My Way
John Williamson - True Blue

So why don't we spell it 'wosh'?

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
