IMO 5K on Win 10 is even better than on the iMac! I have the Dell UP2715K here attached to a Dell XPS 8900 running an i7 Skylake processor, 16 GB RAM with 256 GB SSD and 1TB HDD. The GPU is an Nvidia GTX 960 with 2GB VRAM, this was the minimum GPU that would work with the Dell 5K monitor. The Dell monitor, I'm not sure about the newly announced LG (It's the same LG panel in both the Dell and iMac, but not sure about the new LG display), requires Dual Display Port 1.2 to drive the thing at 5K. The 5K support must be built into a single card, you can't use two separate cards. The 960 is the minimum Nvidia GPU to support this. I guess you can get a AMD/ATI card that will also do this, but if you will be using Adobe software, especially if you might be editing video remember that the Nvidia cards support CUDA that Adobe make use of in Premier.
I really think the Win 10 screen scaling system works much better than in my friends 2.5K iMac, which he has to run at a lower resolution to make stuff on the screen big enough for him to see. This means that the display quality is really poor, it just looks really fuzzy on screen. He used to get the same issue with pretty much all computer displays in the last 20 years though, running non native resolutions on LCD panels. Under Win 10 you run at native resolution, and the scaling system takes care of the rest. I have now settled on running at 175% although MS recommends 200%. My friend would probably like 250% or even 300%. It still looks great though, since the larger screen elements are still being built for you at full native resolution. I realised that running at a slightly lower magnification was fine, since with all of this resolution to work with the font anti-aliasing is still really good, and text is easy to read.
The only program I had any issue with was Lightroom 4, which I was still using. Unfortunately Adobe decided that it would be a good idea to implement their own screen drawing routines, and so their older programs do not support high resolution screens. Everything else, except Internet Explorer, works fine, including my old copy of Office 2007. Unfortunately I need to use IE, with Silverlight to watch Sky TV online. It's OK for watching the content, but the toolbars etc are not scaled. I normally use Chrome for my general viewing.
I would expect that you would still be able to use your Huey, but it would be better if you could upgrade to the i1Pro from Datacolor, since with the Dell monitor it supports the monitors inbuilt hardware 3D LUT system for colour calibration. The Dell monitor also comes with some nice Dell management software which makes changing profile on the fly easy. It has 100% sRGB and 98% AdobeRGB LUT's built in, and I have it set up to swap between them depending on what program I am using. So for LR (I upgraded to CC) I am using AdobeRGB, which is what LR uses in all but the Develop module, while in Chrome I switch to sRGB, since that is what the web runs on anyway.
If I could afford one, along with the GPU upgrade it would undoubtedly need I would be pre ordering one of the new Dell 8K monitors tomorrow.
