Can you tell me what version lens this is by the 10 digit code?

70-200mm f2.8............ V1 or V2?

0120003133

I will try the EXIF info when I get home.

Did you try looking at the lens? Version II of the IS lens will say "II" right on it. If not, it is version one. If it doesn't say "Image Stabilized", there are no 'versions'. Canon only made one of the non-IS type.

It is rubbed off in that area.

That's why I'm wondering if there is a way to identify the lens in another way?

Doesn't help with the 10 digit code, but the 70-200mm F/2.8 IS MK I focusing ring rubber is the same width as the zoom ring width (about 32mm/ 1 1/4")
whereas on the MK II, the focusing ring width is noticeably bigger.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Joeseph is right. There is a photo of them side by side on this page:

01 of the serial No is January 2013 and the MKII was first produced in March 2010.

If you show us some photos of the lens, we should be able to identify for you.

The MkI IS version didn't use the 10 digit serial number as far as I'm aware so that should narrow it down. Look to see if there's an alpha numeric code printed on or near the rear lens mount as well, that's the old date code which will tell us the year of manufacture. I hope this helps.

If the focus ring and zoom ring are the same size, and it has a 10 digit serial number with no date code on the rear mount, you have a 70-200mm f/2.8 without image stabilization. As Bassat said, there is only one version of this lens so it would not show "I" or "II". (Canon has never used "I" on any first version of any lens)
