Thought you'd be interested to hear the results of another thread when I mentioned my frustration at the poor focus on so many of my shots, so I decided to have a go at the dot tune method on my 24-70, which after a lot of work, settled down at W-4 T-2. This wasn't a relaxed process, so I invested in Focal ( and a 5m USB lead! ) and ran all my lenses today. As forecast by some reviews it's a bit buggy, but when it works it's much easier and I'm confident much more accurate. The 24-70 came out of Focal as W-3 and T-2, so very close to the dot tune method indeed, and probably so close as to not make a difference. My prime lenses ran -6, +2, -3, -6 and -5, so, we shall see............

I tried the Spyder LensCal & screwed up a bunch of shots after with my 50L as they all missed focus...

I'm in Southampton too, maybe you fancy showing me Focal? Might have better luck...lol
