I know a lot of you have used these for years, but I wanted to offer a brief bit of advice for any photographers out there still trying to edit using a mouse or other similar input device.

I recently bought a Wacom Intuos Photo (small) and have been practicing with it a total of about 5 hours. Once I was able to get all the buttons set up the way I wanted, it is a breeze to use. Faster. More precise. Less physical stress on the joints in the wrist when compared to a mouse. And best of all, a ton of fun to use.

If you have never used a Wacom tablet or similar, I can't recommend it highly enough. I bought mine on Amazon for maybe $85 or so, and worth every penny.
