So I read a lot of stuff online. And it seems the move is to set details to 100 in sharpening.

The pics look good, but usually extremes have me second guessing some. Is anyone else doing this? I have to be honest, before reading up in LR and fuji, I don't feel like my pics were not ok, but I haven't used anything else since aperture back in the day, and I am not pixel peeping next to Irident etc.

Is there any tips or tricks for Lr I should know about aside from that one? I am not a pixel peeper so I dont know. I have only printed kinda big with my 6d and I must say, I used mpix and was very happy, I mean it was literally what was on my Mac and at 30" I felt like it coulda been a lot bigger and still fine. I would imagine if I ever wanted to go 30" with an xe2 shot, it is possible some of the small stuff I saw peeping when I compared it to my 6d for interiors may come up? But an image not pushed would be fine.

Just curious. I really am comfy in LR and i still use my 6d for specific landscape outings. I have a newer LR and I think a lot of what I read with fuji and LR was from earlier versions?

Have printed a headshot 20x30 from an X-T1 - it rocked. Went up a size to 30x40 with the X-PRO2 & all good.

For sharpening and Fuji I think you need to look at the details slider and the masking as well as the radius. There seams to be better details given doing it that way rather than pushing the Amount up to 65 or so.
Lr is good for me, the workflow is great and if they could just sort out the slowing down issue I'd be happy.

Thanks osa, that is exactlywhat I read that made me think to post this!

I am going learn how to change the presets in LR so I can have for Fuji and one for canon and have it automatically apply 100 detail when I import.

I have a number of Fuji Presets, but all apply the sharpening process as suggested in the link Osa provided. I altered mine slightly to suit my preference:

I know it's not LR related but in case anyone uses PS, the best tutorial I saw on the subject is here :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgSRxNk63I4 (external link)
