Stood watching this Grey for over an hour and a half. She was very happy just to doze in the sun. Backing up would have meant dropping into a 8' ditch full of snow. Sunny, yes but with the wind chill it was -20C. I figure I'll be able to feel my fingers and toes by next weekend.

Nice work Ian. I'd be thrilled to see one at 50 yards. That's some serious cold. I'm just crazy enough to go in that ditch, I'm probably better off in the deep south.

Steve, 30 years ago, I would have been up to my neck in that ditch. Now, on the other side of 60, I tend to think a wee bit before I jump. :)

Very nice! I hope to see, and photograph one of these beauties some day! They are quite rare in my area.
