What's the easiest way to get there?

UPDATE: I got a pcsync cable. This one: https://www.amazon.com …age_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (external link) but it still didn't work until I upgraded the firmware in my TX. nixland in this thread shows how he is able to get it to work without a cable.

Firmware 1.06 didn't work fm 1.10 did, with the sync cable. To see your version just hold Mode when turning the TX on.

Since its the camera that has to be convinced that an FP capable flash is in the hotshoe, the YN622/TX should work.
I think I used them with my version 1 360s on 5DIII. I still have the flash units and the YN622s but no Canon camera to test.

I also have a couple of the Cells II triggers that work fine with Canon.

Naturally, the light(s) have to be switched into H mode.

step 1 connect 622 to camera and another 622 to flash.
step 2 turn on HSS
step 3 you're done!

I had read that but get a pretty serious black band (33% of the frame) when I do that. So I figured there was somthing missing.

6D with TX in show lets me go to say 1/1000 push both buttons on 360 to go into H mode = black band.

622 has to be connected to the flash through the PC Sync.

Like this right?

Though I had read if I have the TX then that's not needed.

Interestingly enough (or maybe not) with my 70D it's completely dark frame. The flash fires but too late (I think).

the part that is connected to the flash is all that matters because it can only push the signal out through the PC/mini plug.

I think you need a 1.5mm mini plug to 3.5mm mini plug, can't exactly remember right this minute.

It definitely is NOT what you linked to.

If you look at the bottom of the 360 version one, there is only one pin. You will need a sync cable, even with the TX.

If what you mean is YN622TX transmitter and YN622 receiver then attach the receiver to AD360 foot and set the group mode for this receiver to SS. (there are 4 modes, M, TTL, SS and off)
And turn on the hss mode on the AD360.
Turn on the hss mode on the 622TX too off course.

How does one do that? What series of lights would indicate SS?

You don't want SS. You need HSS which is toggled by pushing the sync/fn button.

That's on the 360. He is talking about on the receiver.
