Classic Cars of Cuba

I visited Havana, Cuba (from Atlanta) last week and had a wonderful time. I went alone for four days so I could enjoy photography without the family. So glad I was able to do it. Cuba seems to be right on the edge of shifting to a capitalist democracy. You can feel it in the air and the people talk about change. So for a couple more years, perhaps, it will have the same vibe as it does now.

The old cars are a treat. I also got to practice some panning skills (something I'm not good at).

I have more shots, but I'm terrible with identifying models and years. I love cars; I just never took the time to identify models. I'll add more to this thread (hopefully that's okay with the moderators).

The orange and pink car below are actually Russian cars called Ladas.

There seems to be three types of cars in Cuba (from what I can tell).

American cars from the 50s (and perhaps some 40s models).

Russian cars from the 80s (perhaps 70s as well)

Newer cars made in China (rental cars, buses, and a few other vehicles).

There are some scattered other makes and models. I saw a couple Mitsubishi vans, a few VW Beetles and buses, and more. But the vast majority of older cars are American and Russian. Some of the new Chinese cars look pretty good, but I know little about them and didn't take photos of them (although you might see some in the background).
