Only Canon lenses in my line up.

I think some off brand lenses have closed the gap, according to many posts I read.
I can buy any Canon lens I fancy (and can carry comfortably) and would consider a lens made by someone else if it were superior in image quality and convenience.
Most of the posts I have read emphasize cost over performance.
I should mention I like zoom lenses as apposed to foot zooming.
What lenses should I be considering instead of Canon? BTW I am pretty happy with my kit now.

Looking at the zoom lenses in your kit, you have pretty much the best money can buy. There is no non-Canon brand lens that is better than what you have, whether you are talking about hte 24-70 II, the 70-200 II or the 100-400 II. Get the 11-24 and you are done. Forget about off-brands.

I don't troll much, but when I do, it involves a canoe.

I only have two third party lenses. Neither is a zoom. I like them both. Sigma 15mm f/2.8 FE. Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 FE.

It is just a lens collection excercise or you have specific needs that your Canons cannot cover?

In the latter case, 3rd parties may give you things that Canon doesn't offer

- fast UWA (20mm and 14mm art)
- 85mm lens with fast AF (85 art)
- stabilized 24-70 2.8 (tamron & new art)
- 150-600 zooms (tamron and sigma C)

IQ is debatable though
These may or may not be useful for you depending on your specific needs.

Well, there is the 85/1.8. The Art is brighter and has less CA, of course.

You lack fast primes. Try with Zeiss Otus (and the 135/2 APO Sonnar).
Not clear what you mean by "convenience".

since you dont feel for primes, your selection will be much smaller.

sigma 24-105 might be something you'de like, rangy, better optics than canon

tamron 28-300, small rangy, doubt the optics though.

Autofocus straight out of the box. I have considered fast primes, but as I recall I hardly used my 50mm f/1.4.

Depending on what you use your 5DSR for, I own and use the following lenses on my 5DSR that you do not own:

1) Tamron 45 & 85 1.8 VC
2) Sigma 24-105 OS

I did a bunch of testing comparing the Canon 24-105 to the Sigma version, on the 5DSR, and if you are a pixel peeper you will see the difference - otherwise the Canon is fine.

Because of the weather sealing and close focus distance of the Tamron 45 1.8 VC, I find it a very useful lens and I can see this lens being useful in your collection.

The Tamron 85 1.8, even though it is 'only' 1.8, has enough of a closer focus distance compared to the Canon 85 1.2 (I am a former owner and sold it because of the lack of IS when I got my 5DSRs), that again, because you have a 5DSR, I would recommend it.

That last sentence tells me you should be looking at something else besides your lens collection.

I agree, looking at your lens collection, there really isn't anything out there that going to come close to what you already have. The one exception might be a specialty lens such as a fisheye or UWA

I think the OP is being genuine when he asks about 3rd party lenses.

I, too, have been frustrated for years at the third party manufacturers. Why? Because they seldom make anything better than the Canon L series equivalents. It seems at times like the 3rd party manufacturers think that we are all trying to save money, when in fact there are some of us who will gladly pay more than we will for Canon L glass if somebody made something different, or better.

One lens that fits the parameters you have set is the Sigma 300-800mm.

I have this lens because it offers something so very different than any Canon lens. .No Canon offering provides a zoom in focal lengths any longer than 400mm. .I find the 300-800 range extremely useful and the optics are excellent.

However, it does not have any Image Stabilization, so you need to have, or develop, very good long lens technique to get the most out of this lens.

Last year I decided to stop buying and selling to upgrade. I only purchased the lens that fit my needs when I could afford to get the highest quality lens available. That was the best decision that I have made in my photography career. My setup is pretty close to the OPs. I will be done buying lenses after I get a fisheye, macro and 135.

Maybe it is just a case of GAS.

Canon's 11-24 has some appeal, but as I don't use my 16-35 that much I suspect it would not see enough use to justify the cost. I also like carrying only two or three lenses max.
After almost 50 years of shooting I may have lost a little of my enthusiasm but like having good gear with me. In fact I am going to be going to Yellowstone in June, and plan to travel "heavy" bringing most of my gear.
