Yongnuo YN622C and bracketing?

I bought the Y622's and quite happy with them so far, but I do have one issue. Sometimes I will shoot a bracket set, but even with the trigger turned off, the camera still thinks something is attached and only one bracket will fire.

Has anyone else ran into this, or have a work around without having to remove the trigger for each bracket?

I am 99 percent sure that when my 622 is turned off my Canon doesn't think it is on there, but that is with non bracketed shots. Maybe the camera is getting "stuck" because it is trying to bracket automatically. Maybe try a manual bracket set?
