Im just getting into this and my current 1g gpu isnt nearly powerful enough which I normally wouldnt really care about as I dont need it to process the video as fast as possible as much as I just would like for it to process the edited video without any hiccups.
With that being said are there any settings that I should adjust? for example during playback I dont need it to be set at 4k resolution but would like for the output when saving the file to be 4k. So I would rather view the in editor playback at a lower resolution and then output to a higher, is this possible?

Or is it just a matter of needing to get a better gpu?

Again I dont care if it takes 1min to render the video or if it takes 10minutes as in either case I can just walk away from the computer and let it do its thing.
