I just got the 70-200 and before I buy the 200-500 I was wondering if anyone has had a chance yet to use the 70-200E with the 2x convertor yet. I know I wouldn't get to 500mm but more interested in sharpness and quality up to 400.

Davidus Hatchling 2 posts Joined Sep 2015 More info | Apr 07, 2017 04:27 | #2 I had the 70-200 VR2 with the TC2 and while image quality is surprisingly not bad at all, it is far behind 200-500. I was also surprised by the efficiency of the VR on the new lens, much better than the 70-200+TC2
