dont forget that the 5Dsr AA cancelation, so lenses will tend to look better on that camera vs other cameras.

Interesting data point. Even the75-300 (external link), probably the worst lens canon has ever made, looks almost decent using the 5DsR while it looks terrible (as expected) on the 50D. Interesting that the pixel count is not that different between the two.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

...the 7DII, 7D, and every recent Dxxx cameraas their pixel density is even greater.

That's just flat out wrong. The 5DsR and 7DII have essentially the same pixel density, which is higher than any other cameras in Canon's line-up. You are correct though that any theoretical resolving issues on the 5DsR should also show up on the 7DII (although the 7DII is working with the best part of the image, and the 5DsR is using the full image circle).

Actually, pixel count is extremely different between the two.

Pixel density, however, is very similar.

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I remember some similar discussions when Kodak Technical Pan film hit the market. Turned out technique made all the difference in the world.

I don't use a 5dsr, but been there heard that.
