first attempt at macro

Canon 50D with Sigma 105mm macro with black paper background and only kitchen ceiling lights. Comments and critique desired to learn from. Also had to resize these photos to use here and that is the first time I have ever resized a pic so hope image quality doesn't suffer in the process.

Good start- prefer the outside shots.
Lighting and focus on the second inside shot could be improved.

Indoor/kitchen lights are usually a poor spectrum, so you get funny colours.
Look up "CRI"
Try a flash shot to compare and you'll see.
Flash also solves the movement problem of course, but you'll need to diffuse it by going through or bouncing off something.

Indoor ones do look to have focus issues.

Try a tripod indoors to steady your shot. Then flash would not be needed.
