Took a stroll recently into the Yanbaru Forests here in Okinawa. We were on a location scout but managed to bust out some images...

A Princess or 'Hime' Habu, one of three Pit Viper species found on the island. This one whilst it can spoil your day is not lethal. Its counterpart the Okinawa Habu on the other hand is deadly... not sure what the Beetle is...

The Viper was shot with a Tamron 90mm f2.8 on a 5DSr whilst the Beetle using an MPE65mm at 2:1.

Cheers,
Mark.
