several years ago I had hard drive issues,I purchased a 4 bay NAS system
during the learning phase I saved a album under "100 days 2.aplibary" to the NAS system

I can open this in aperture, however when I try to edit or move an edited version it gives me the message
"the selected original image is either off line or not found" and won't allow me to do anything other than view the image

how do i over come this problem ?
Cheers
Bill

Apple products are a long way from my expertise but a file with the extension "aplibrary" is an Aperture pictures library database file. Note that I said database file and it is used to store multiple images in a single database.

Try right clicking on the file and then select "show package contents" and see if the particular image is present. If it is try iPhoto to open and extract the individual files. See https://discussions.apple.com …d/378078?start=0&tstart=0 (external link) for the details.
