I really like the color and feel in the first image.
How did the image look when you fixed the distortion, or couldn't you without losing the chandelier?

i didn't try to hard to fix the distortion, i kind of like the wide angle feel.

Personally I don't like the distortion in the first image, but my guess is that the average person who doesn't do much photography wouldn't pay much attention to it and would just look at the couple and setting.

Agreed, too much distortion

Did you use any tools to get this white balance in the first photo?

besides shooting in RAW i just adjusted it it post. i had to do some selective editing to the get white dress white, including desaturation. the room was lit this color and the pink permeated everything. looking at it now, i may make slightly desaturate the tables and floor so the bride doesn't pop out so much...

the distortion I may try to tame a bit too. i stitched a bunch of images together to get a wider feel.

I have no problem at all with the distortion. It's just the way things look with a wide angle shot. I wouldn't fix it.
