I posted thios on a different section. I think it will have more success here. Feel free to delete the other post on wedding talk

I am shooting an indoors-turned outdoors under a gazebo in the last minute- wedding. Wedding will be at 2:30 pm and we are expecting a cloudy day with a bit of sun. I am thinking that I need to light the interior for the shots to be balanced. Was thinking about my two yn685 on stands. Now, for the trick question. How would you position them? It is a square pop up gazebo and I'm thinking in opposite corners, that way, no matter what side I shoot from, I can get good bounce front and back. I am thinking as well not to use ettl and to go manual, as light won't change much in the 30 minutes of the ceremony.

Hi, Very limited experience on my part, but, what colour is the Gazeebo interior and is it clean? Both issues have caused grief . . .

Some have green stripes and believe it or not, some are dirty - either could change your plans, especially if you were assuming that you could bounce freely. Hope it goes well.

I know, but you think 2 yn658 would do the job on oposite corners?

Depends on the colour and also how large it is. If it's large the light may not reach the middle.

As far as i know, it shouldn't be bigger than 3x3 meters, so like a room at home, but with no walls for bouncing. I am thinking if to go ETTL or fully manual, although I am steering towards the manual approach more

Based on years of shooting weddings in just about every conceivable situation. I agree with the idea of putting the lights in opposite corners. Will you have a fill flash on camera?
That makes it work even better.

Over the years I've shot manual flash, ETTL on camera with manual off camera and all TTL. When every possible I shoot all TTL.
It just makes life easier.

I don't worry about white balance when shooting. Camera is set to AWB and if required I fix it in Lightroom.

Click the website link below and find the david does weddings link. Everything shot inside includes flash. Most of the outside stuff has speedlite for fill.
