critique please

hi, any comments, critique or advise very welcome!

nice photo, well composed. there is no harsh lighting, or shadows.
the one thing, all the colors belnd into each other.

Her facial expression makes me think this is a mean look. something just isnt right, or natural for that matter.

ive got to admit i chose the clothes my daughter was wearing with the intention of blending her into the forest, so my fault really!
do you think it would help if i desaturated the background alittle?

it doesnt hurt to try.
have you thought of coverting it to B&W?

What is this titled?

I like the look of it - if this is the sort of impression you are trying to create.

All the pinecones, and leaves, and twigs on the floor didn't chose where the fell. They are just there, and they have to live with it.

The expression and pose your daughter is in, compliments this and I think it suits the photo quite well.

It's almost like the wind has dumped her there along with every other bit of twig, and leaf etc.

Initially, I didn't like all the browns/grays blending in together. After a bit, it really made me focus on the white shirt ... If I were to shoot this again I use the same outfit with a brown/gray top .. and then ... have your very cute little girl look up into the light. The things that keep this pix from being perfect are the white shirt and the tilt of your daughter's head (maybe the foot sticking out from under the skirt ... lol).

BTW- It is a very very nice photo (white top and all).

Sorry, I don't have a title for it.
The only reason I was asking, was because it reminds me of "the grudge" or something... So a similar title would have excused the white top and the way she is looking down to the ground etc etc....
Giving it a deep, sorrowful sort of meaning.

I love the tones and the mood, but the lighting isn't very good. The highlights are on the top edge of her forehead and the tip of her nose because the lighting was coming straight down from above. A weak off camera flash at camera right about six feet and four feet up from the ground aimed down toward her would have popped some light into her 'raccoon eyes' and brightened them up. Good shot otherwise.

If you change it to B&W, try a sepia tone. Could look cool.

There no contrasting colors. It's not bad if you were going to camoflague (aside from the white shirt)

The image is fine the way it is....there's a certain amount of mystery but the white shirt adds a great impact to the image...it is the irritant and also reads innocence and purity......supported by the sap on the tree.....nice eyes....don

I really like it. I think it portrays a very eerie mood and a feeling of something sinsiter. Makes you look over your shoulder to see where the ghouls are.
