I agree with VFTT. This picture would look very good in sepia. Or Low Key B&W?

I think the colour one works much better. If you were going for an eeire/scary look than I think you have it spot on (including your choice of cloths). If not, then I think you need a serious re-think! :)

I have to get some work done, so I didn't have much time to play with it, but here it is in sepia.

Not sure if I like the sepia one better than the original, but I think I like it better than the straight B&W.

I think if you could find a tree with some sunshine comming through would be nice...
I thought a lighter touch may make it more dreamy....and a crop.

Hi, I like the color version. IMO, she needs fairy wings.
Nice pic. though;)

I hope you don't mind my edit, since your 'Image Editing OK' is not on, but I really like the photo and tried to add a bit more contrast and tone with lights, fog, and Dragan action.

The original is by far the best. Not sure what you were going for but I fell creeped out looking at the photo and I like that.

thanks for all your efforts in the editing department, i've got to admit i do like the original better than the rest but i do like the idea of adding a light beam (thanx hjoe_acf ) although i think this washes out the colour a little too much.

The whole idea of the shot was to create a oldy worldy type photo ( perhaps 50 years old)but with the addition of a little desaturated colour, i think the girls gaze does help to create a little more drama in the shot, i've got to admit i added the white t shirt to add a sharp contrast to the setting because i thought there would be too many autumn shades, no intention for the spooky effect but i see what you mean (it does dosn't it!!!)

the shot was taken with a 1 sec shutter speed which i think my little girl did really well to sit for( not too much blur in the face).

i think i'll have a go in cs2 to add some kind of beam of light into the photo, if it turns out okay i post a pic, if any one else can try to add a little something extra please do.

again if anyone can come up with a fitting name for the pic please do give me you suggestions.

thanx again for you time and efforts

I agree with your comments on my edit. The washed out colors was probably the result of the fog filter and/or Dragan action. Also there were too many light beams in my edit. Here's another edit with just a few light beams and no fog filter or Dragan action.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow...this certainly makes you look twice. It gave me a shiver and I think when a photo can do that to you then you have captured something truly unique...even if you were not aiming at that. Reminds me of something out of a horror movie, only worse.

I like it, it has a deep in thought fel to it, almost evil and Blair Witch? Did you desaturate it slightly to give that un natural colour? I like it this way anyway, and i think the shot has a lot of meaning to it....really nice :)
ONE thing....maybe her feet could have come out more, it looks like she has no legs, but only a minor problem...its not distracting...jsut being picky :) lol

i do like this photo of your daughter...the soft lighting and autumnal tones are very complimentary. I might crop it only slightly on the top to focus on the COI - her. It's a beautiful photograph.

Soundless is an image....and worth a thousand words, an absolute understatement.
