Picture 2 is really cute.

Picture 1....he looks a little unsure. Nice set you've made there.

It's a she lol. Yeah, she was not into it at all really. I had held a model call for this one because I needed to put together a circus theme to share with my romper/headband vendor. She settled into it towards the end that's when I got the second picture there. I love shooting infants they stay put easily and they are oh so cute but they don't always trust the situation and the big strobe and are notoriously pesky about showing that smile!!

These are keepers. If she were my daughter, the second one would be up on the wall. Also up on the grandparents' walls.

Then there's this:

There are parents out there getting their kids into modeling careers at the age of, I don't know, months?

It's not modeling as in the kids are models. If I have a setup I want to shoot but don't want to wait around I will post on a local moms group and say...need an 8 month old who sits unsupported, not walking...tolerates headbands who can come today. I give mom 3-5 edited digitals for their time.

So you're not in the business of selling baby shots to moms/dads/grandparents. You're selling baby shots to third parties. And you pay in kind (photos not dollars) for modelling services. Neat!

Oh no I primarily shoot for families. It's just recently that I have a vendor offering to send me free items in return for images. When that happens I like to treat it as a time sensitive job, so the vendor can get their ads up for that item...and that is when I reach out for a model. The rest of the time I'm just a normal family photographer.
