I woke up early Sunday morning to see a red fox trying to sneak up on a turkey breakfast while licking his lips. The turkey lived another day and the fox went off looking for smaller game.

Nice find and photo Rob. That old fox was licking his chops. I bet there was disappointment there. Thanks for sharing.:-)

Great timing. I wish the foxes here weren't so flighty, it's very hard to get photos of them but I like the challenge.

Definitely a great shot! - it tells the story. My money would be on the turkey to win.

Thanks Terry! He/She looks pretty healthy so it is eating something. Just not turkeys. That may change once the poults are born though.

They are flighty here as well. This photo was out my basement window. Both would have taken off if they had any clue I was near.

Thanks! Yeah, the reward wasn't worth the risk for the fox.

Pretty awesome at 200mm! Love the licking of the lips.

Wonderful shot, you are either very good or very lucky to have caught him licking his lips. Either way it's a great shot.
