I'm looking into a couple I found online. Digimarc looks good but I've got some time to think about the others.

Just as a point of reference, I tried Digimarc for one year and it didn't find a single instance of one of my images being used elsewhere even though a simple reverse image search showed numerous examples of a number of my images being used without my permission. Unless they have changed their plans, Digimarc does not search photo sharing sites like flickr, 500px, etc or social media sites like Facebook.

*copyright

just in case you do go down that pathway
;-)a

What do you mean?

The way this post is written, it doesn't seem to make any sense. It doesn't say enough to let the reader know what you are suggesting, or talking about.

" * copyright "........well, yes, of course copyright - but what is it about copyright that you are referring to? What does the asterisk mean?

".....that pathway" ...... going down what pathway?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I guess the word copyright isn't needed. I just threw it in there for asthetics here.

If you took a moment to look at the watermark, the post is correcting the misspelling of "Copywright" to "Copyright".

^ this :-)
I would have answered earlier but I am in a very different time zone

it is a common internet convention to highlight spelling/typographic errors with an asterisk symbol
hence *copyright ... just to point out that on the example it was written as "copywright"

As I indicated, just wanting to make sure the OP didn't use that spelling if they did use that technique

sorry for the confusion

I did notice it after I made the jpg. I wasn't planning on fixing it since it was an example that I had already spent more time than I wanted to anyway.

Maybe I should have corrected it. I don't think it matters since the topic is how do I make that invisible until it's printed without permission...
