Just picked up an Asus PA329 ProArt monitor. Stunning display.

I am using it on my upgraded 2009 Mac Pro.

Asus has calibration software that will work with the i1Display Pro. But it is windows only right now (and forever?)

But as I understand it, the software stores the calibration in a chip in the display itself.

So my question is, does anybody know if it would work if I calibrated the monitor in windows using bootcamp, and then would that profile still be used when I go back into osx?

I am thinking it should work. But before I go through the trouble of trying it, thought I would ask if anybody with more experience in calibrating displays knows.
