Any suggestions on a small camera that I can take with me in a pocket?

I got a G5X right before Christmas and I have been really happy with it. It its in my pocket, takes wonderful images, can save in RAW, and it has a viewfinder.

When you desire greater control than afforded by a typical smartphone camera, I can suggest cameras like the Canon S90, S95, S100, S110, S120...depending upon your willingness to tolerate the sensor technology of 8 years ago or less; The S120 is the most current model but now discontinued as of last year, and it can be had used for about $200-330; Canon-refurbished $341. An S95, which is what i still use, has been on POTN Classifieds for quite a while and is 2010 technology, very affordable at about $100. Full manual control capability, RAW and JPG file storage.

Canon dSLR system, Olympus OM 35mm system, Bronica ETRSi 645 system, Horseman LS 4x5 system, Metz flashes, Dynalite studio lighting, and too many accessories to mention

Not everyone's cup of tea, but the Ricoh GRii is phenomenal. 16mp apsc sensor with no AA filter, great DR, super sharp 18.3mm f2.8 lens (28mm equivalent) with 35mm and 47mm crop modes, macro mode, etc. It even has zone focusing (they call it 'snap focus') which is really helpful for landscapes and street photography. Not sure what kind of photography you're into, but it is a very nice camera.

I use an older Panasonic LUMIX DMC-Z10 and still love it. About the largest practical pocket camera, 16X zoom, 14MP. Think I paid around $500 back in 2011. Takes very nice photos as a family travel camera. There have been several step ups in that model series over the years. Mine has the Leica lens and it sure is nice. Not sure I would be as happy with the 30X zooms they offer now as reviews complain about noise.

Sure I would prefer my 6D but not practical in certain situations. I love my lightweight and compact Canon mirrorless M3 and M lenses as a travel kit but when going places with serious theft risks I use the Z10 carried in pocket.

...And deep pockets too.

That would be me then;-)a. As a wheelchair user I have found that in general pockets are now completely useless. So now I use a small bag that I keep mostly on my lap, and I have no trouble with getting my 50D, with grip, and Sigma 20-40 ƒ/2.8 EX DG lens in, along with my wallet, phone, a bottle of Oramorph, and other odds and sods.
