Item: Canon EOS 1D Mark IV digital camera.
Condition: Fine to excellent. Some rubs in the finish above the prism. Some scratches on the base from tripod mounting. Mechanically and photographically excellent; everything works as it should.
Shot count: 100,591 (will post ShutterCount grab, tomorrow).
Includes: Camera, battery, body cap, original box with all contents (charger, manuals, strap, etc.).
Price: Now $1,100 includes camera, accessories, paypal fees, USPS Priority Insured shipping to CONUS. Will ship to US protectorates & territories, and Canada, if you help with the shipping.
Reason for selling: I currently own 3 bodies. My 80D does quite well for sports/athletics.
Information: I bought this camera used (obviously) in the spring of 2016. I have never had any problems with it. This copy is as solid as this camera's reputation. I have more photos, and will post 2/day (POTN limit). All are available if you PM me an e-mail.
Best contact method: PM
Feedback: I have positive feedback on POTN, and on E-Bay (46 @ 100%), PM for E-Bay username.

Any bites, Tom?

Yours appears to be in slightly better condition and has 22k less shutter actuations than the one I purchased. It's quite a bit less expensive to boot. Of course, I did buy mine back in 2015 and the prices always drop a little each month.

Should make a very nice camera for a sports or wildlife photographer.

Thanks for the bump, Kim. All I've had so far is a couple of offers for trades. I'm not opposed to trades, just not the right item yet. It really is in very good shape, with lots of life left. I think its early life was kind of pampered. I bought it from a POTNr in Hawaii. :) Hey, while I'm here I'll put up a few more photos.

I'll second the above recommendation. 1D4's are amazing.

I purchased mine from a bird & wildlife photog who babied it - hardly a scratch, no dings, and a perfect dome and covers.

My 1D4 has a documented, combined shutter count well into 7 digits - on its 4th shutter & second mirror box, and you'd never know it - it really looks new. amazing. with its new LP-E4N batteries, it's a real workhorse and a pleasure to use.

Compared to mine, Tom's 1D4 is barely broken in. There's probably years and years left on this camera! These cameras are designed to be used - really used.

Regular CPS maintenance - CLA's & periodic replacement of mechanical parts (shutter &/or mirror box) - will keep this camera running and running and running and...

Dale

Thanks, Dale. I think this is one of the finest cameras Canon has ever made, although I must admit I've never touched a 1DX/1DX2. This one is just a bit heavy for me since getting my shoulder repaired in November. Getting old is OK, compared to not getting old, but it ain't for kids!

You mentioned video, I never knew it had video. Dang I'm tempted. To bad the 1d3 has no real value for resale.

3's are going for around $500 around here.

I own both 3 & 4. There is enough difference that at this price point it's worth getting. Focus is faster, more pixels to work with. Just all around a bit better. Battery life is not as long as the 3 (nothing is) but still better than anything out there.

So if you are on the fence, jump on over it.

Video on the 4 is a pain. I sold my 3 for $375 a year ago.

16 vs 10 mp and auto ISO are huge.

That's about what I paid for mine 6 months ago in very good condition. I may still pop for this one, we have a family vacation next week and I'm putting my resources towards that at the moment.

I'd buy it if I didn't already own one.

Is there a discount if his sister goes?
