This male Anna's hummingbird was posing and showing off for the ladies (though I didn't see any females around) at a nearby park this afternoon...

Rog, yes, the Anna's are here year round. They're the only one of the 4 hummer species found in WA that stay over. The rufous hummers have recently returned - they're the only other species found in the western (wet) side of the state. Eastern WA gets small numbers of calliope and black-chinned hummingbirds in summer...
