Oh, I'll get some serious landscapes. There are two of us going and we'll be there for a week.

Apr 03, 2017 18:51 | #21 I got my think tank belt on with the 70-200, a 90 prime, my camera w/24 prime, and a backpack with 25lbs in it. Starting my training. Now I need to find a nice 45 degree incline and see how that feels.

Thank you Wilt; I've been there. Route 41 is my plan.

How often do you end up with a lens that isn't calibrated with no time to swap when you rent? Those two lenses sound a bit lighter.

I still have time to think about it, but one lens sure has a nice ring to it.

Apr 03, 2017 21:40 | #27 if you have nice belt attachments, you can carry more gear, but shooting with a small kid can be challenging. I occasionally go shooting with my baby with up to 3 lenses and a tripod. Belt attachments can get you there if the baby doesnt kick them. I can take more lenses, I just don't want to ruin any of the Yosemite experience because I overestimated my pack mule capability. The think tank belt is awesome, but it tens to pull your pants down through the day, and that makes walking uncomfortable.
